About Dr. Hiestand
Dr. Hiestand is a board-certified physician in multiple specialties, including pulmonology, sleep medicine, critical care, internal medicine, and pediatrics. He also has a passion for flying. Dr. Hiestand's experience as a pilot allows him to understand his patients and any aero-medically significant health conditions that may impact safe flight.

An FAA Medical Certificate may be issued if there is evidence of physical fitness defined by 14 CFR Part 67 (https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-14/chapter-I/subchapter-D/part-67).
To obtain a Medical Certificate you must fill out the initial portion of the application through MedXpress. Once completed you can schedule an appointment with Dr. Hiestand, our licensed AME.
